Chanel is working hard for their regularly presented “between-season collection”. After “Paris-Londres” and a collection in Miami the theme will be:
PARIS – SHANGHAI
The theme is clear, but the interpretation needs transparency. First thing it reminded me of, was the glorious collection “Airborne” by Hussein Chalayan.

You might remember my post on the collection before that:

Of course, elements of asian respectively chinese culture can be found here, but to what extent is Chanel transforming it’s rather “traditional” patterns and fabrics with this collections into more modern cuts and attitudes? This collection as well as Miami’s “Croisiere” is a proof for a little evolution in the old couture House on glorious Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris.
